Rehab Medical, one of the nation’s leading providers of custom mobility solutions, recently announced that Dallas, Texas residents now have access to specialized mobility services after the company’s recent expansion into the area.
According to the Texans with Disabilities Data Brief, 51% of the state’s working-age population lives with a disability and of those, 47% suffer from a mobility-related issue. With the expansion of Rehab Medical’s mobility services in the Lone Star state, the company can now provide mobility users with greater access to life-changing equipment at a rate that’s two times faster than the average provider, as concluded by a VGM Mobility study.
Leading the company’s third Texas office will be sales manager and Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) Colten Matthews and branch manager Rachel Shaw.
Matthews joined the Rehab Medical team shortly after the company acquired Austin Wheelchair Co. in late 2021. During his time with Rehab Medical, he helped to establish the Austin office leading to his promotion and transition to the Dallas office.

Shaw joined Rehab Medical more than a year ago and served mobility users in Oklahoma City. Due to her recent promotion to branch manager, Shaw will be transitioning to the Dallas office to lead and support the company’s operations.

Additionally, this expansion will create more jobs for Texans. The company has hired five additional staff members to support the Dallas office. As the company continues to grow and service more mobility users, they plan to create more job opportunities for Texans and across their 17 other states.
The Dallas office is the second of Rehab Medical’s multiple planned territory expansions for the 2024 calendar year. Last month the company opened its first new office of the year in Miami, Florida, making it the company’s seventh location in the Sunshine state.
